I have to look to see how behind I am in writing about what i've done recently, things have been rather chaotic the past weekend but are slowly getting back into the norm.

Today I went biking, did 60 min of pilates, and will end with 60 min of yoga. I'm starting to really get into combos of workouts- and really I need to start running outside but currently lack the ability to know how far I truly am going.

Now I have a sunburn and it's time to goto bed since I have been up far too long, and was unable to nap today. Cheers.

Going upstairs to do my yoga.

While it has been busy to the point of making my head spin- I simply am finding that when I don't take time for exercise, bad things happen both with my state of mind, and also with my ablity to deal with what I need to do.

Sure most of what I have to do is "easy" paper work, the problem is that it is 3 years worth and it is difficult to start/stop working on it, and my schedule simply doesn't have enough time to devote 12-24 hrs just to go through it. I have to figure out a compromise as it is only getting worse and frankly it is time.

I have to keep reminding myself to breath, to allow the reason for yoga to shine through. ME. I am the reason, that I connect with all of you in such an energetic manner and in such a way that is direct and real- while allowing the privacy of life to occur is more than over whelming. Remember thoughts are things, they are what we shape our world from. Simply wake up one day and just smile. Truly allow yourself to grin. From there make the choice when the crap happens to smile, and see how much your own attitude changes. What we do is what we are. Pure and simple. If we allow ourselves to live in toxic guilt then our world will become toxic to our health and living.

Simply take a breath and smile. Two simple things that in the long go of things will have a profound affect on your life, should you choose to consciously do them consistantly.

Warning: if certain combinations of foods gross you out- stop reading now.

OK that said, I have not put my log in for the past two days. Yoga 60 both Tues/Wed. Today I went on a bike ride for about 5 miles (just getting started again) and came home for breakfast:

Egg sandwich on whole grains with mustard, a touch of mayo and liverworst YUMMMMY! ♥ followed that up with artichoke hearts! Hmmmm doesn't get much better than that.

4.27 miles in 45 min.

I'm heading up stairs to do my yoga :) I've been sluggish most of this week, part of it I think is the adjustment to doing more work at home and still maintaining my diet.

I'm not certain how many calories I'm eating, as when I'm hungry I eat. The key notes to what I'm eating are:

Unless rice cakes, cambells soup (tomato, cream of mushroom), bread (typical whole grain type), salad dressing, seaweed chips or crackers; I'm not eating any processed foods. So I'm allowing myself all the whole foods I want, when I want but keeping to the idea of starting day high in protien and fat (nuts: walnuts/almonds) and as day goes on leaning more towards carbs (salads, veggies, fruits).

What I find is that when I eat in this manner, I rarely feel any cravings (except frist two weeks as I detoxed from all the sugars that are in processed foods). Then once I was past the sugar, the energy increased and since then- if I want it, I'll have it. But I try to keep it to bakery goods *hmmm caremel brownies* or other items that have not been over processed.

Today was another "mile stone" I am 180, and from the looks of it I will continue to look at heading towards 165 and will redetermine goals once there. My orginal goal was 175, but honestly there is WAY more than 5lbs left for me to "shed". Granted I'm looking at attaining this by September as for my birthday I want to have a date with someone and a camera. LOL call it my vanity for turning 38.

Something that keeps going through my mind is how we have times of "inactivity" that I think are needed, but due to how we live in this day and age, we don't acknowledge that. Because of this, when we naturally find the time to start being active again- we miss our chance in hurt, guilt and fear.

Anyone can do this, even if they think they hate to move- find ways you LIKE to move and then do it. If you enjoy it, you'll find your activity and your body will thank you, even as it complains with aches and pains. Slowly you'll start to see where youth is always a state of being both in body, mind and spirit.

3.84miles 45 min

I took today at a much lesser pace for the body of the work as I've been low level fatigued for much of the week. Sleep is good- so my thoughts are it is just my body needing a little bit more recovery time. Add to that I will do yoga for an hour here in about 20min and I think today is good with almost 2 solid hours of work. Weight is steady at 182-183 which is good considering my diet/workouts have not been as consistant with my starting coaching. That's good because the idea is to keep these changes with my lifestyle and that I'm maintaining means I'm doing something right.

I'm slowly going to be increasing over the next few weeks to at least an hour of running (even if it's what I call the "survival suffle") and hour of yoga everyday with the exception of a few times a week.

Someone mentioned to me that my 10' mile is good compaired to the rest of the population, but I commented back that for me it is not as I remember being 6:20ish mile when I used to train. No I'm not looking for speed like that again, but I am looking to get closer to the just below 8'mile. That said, my goal for the marathon in Sept is survival :P I will finish it on my feet, that is my only requirement as if I have to walk I will not be upset. Now if I can maintain that 10' mile for the marathon, I will be more than happy I will probably act like I can do anything again :P lol

After Sept's marathon, I will start transitioning into training for a triatholon. Which means I have to start looking now for an affordable bike as my 35lb mountain bike simply is 1. too old, and 2. too heavy for what I'm looking to do. Over the winter because of being indoors I will take spin classes and swim with running as primary and yoga secondary.

The reasoning for my using yoga as a primary right now is that I'm retraining my body from a weightlifter's fram to more lean/speed weight bearing exercise as with crew we did so much with weights that I am still rather bulky. Once I hit mid summer I will start altering workouts so that I'm doing more balanced work and maybe even some rowing.

For now it's time to start laundry and get my DVD going for some Yoga :D

Last night 60 min yoga.

I have to say it's a pain not being able to record what I do when I do it... and I often have to look to see hmmm did I write that down yet?

Boring- not very exciting but it still helps me as in the journal I'm not able to graph and over think what I'm doing- I do what feels good and from there I continue to where I think I should be. Once I'm in full training mode this will probably change- but we'll have to wait and see.

Still no internet at home so until that changes, I'm focusing more of my energies to where they need to be. Good things, seriously I'm so glad we're at spring and that I'm finally feeling the go go go :)
